3rd Regional Conference of Civil Society Organizations of the Congo Basin

Two intense days of work striving toward a single goal: a common position of the civil society organizations and forest peoples of the Congo Basin, embodied in the Libreville Final Communiqué.

Day 1 starts with the analysis of development policies in Congo Basin countries, then addresses forest governance, the rights of forest peoples, and conservation to develop joint proposals;

Day 2 presents these proposals, addresses funding, identifies innovative funding mechanisms, and translates the whole into commitments adopted, read out, and handed over to the authorities during the closing ceremony
